‘Project Hypnotherapy’

Feeling this year - 2025 - come to a close, I inwardly pay hommage to Winter Solstice on this 21st day of the 12th month. Grateful to have been able to travel to a winter wonderland to spend Christmas week with my family. And for the delicious fragrance created by a pot of cinnamon, cloves, oranges, and apples simmering on the stove, soft sounds of a tinkling piano completing this dreamy ambience.

To the point of Project Hypnotherapy, I thank you for being here. As I tap away on my MacBook, that memorable line of Kevin Costner’s character, Ray, in Field of Dreams loops like a reel in my mind. “If you build it he will come”. Let’s imagine Ray’s field is this blog space; his ball diamond these words. The crowds that came to watch the ball games are…well…you!

The thing about imagination is that it’s a platform on which we can build - in other words create - anything we want. There is absolutely nothing about imagination that is silly, childish, or inferior. It’s very much the opposite, in fact. In hypnotherapy, it is ideal for you to open your mind in order to let your imagination run and play at will. This enables your hypnotherapist to guide you to an inward place where your subconscious mind will communicate with you. Then we can address whatever it is that you’re looking to change. Whatever answers you need. Whatever solution you need. Imagination, then, is an essential part of the process of hypnotherapy.
